There was a poisonous atmosphere at the gathering.
The VI Gathering of Herpetologists had started quite well, with John presenting the results of his latest research into the effects of atomised vipers venom delivered by way of a small spray. Unfortunate that his atomising machine had broken half way into the presentation and started releasing the vapours into the room, to no ones’ notice.
As luck goes, the sample he had been processing was quite small and thankfully Mr Norbert had had the sense of collapsing over the windows’ lever, causing them to fully open. Old-school high ceilings in a large warehouse and in no time the air was clean.
Ms Yafat did have quite the fright, coming into the room whilst everyone was still unconscious, causing her to drop the small glass terrarium where she had been transporting her new specimen of a black mamba.
